Critical Regionalism House

The projects conception is conditioned by its diagramatic features. The north/north-west slope and the view of the golf course of the west and the hills to the north prevent it from facing south. In this way four axes are created upon which the existing trees are superimposed. Added to this initial diagram are the modernist characteristics of the town of Vilamoura and the iregular outline of the hills overlooked by the construction of terraces. The result is a contemporary language close to that of critical regionalism, in which specific traditional and modernist features are brought togother, creating a tension between the characteristics of the plot itself, the urban language of Vilamoura and the surrounding countryside.
